The Golden Age of Aviation is often
described as the two decades between Charles Lindbergh's historic
trans-Atlantic flight in 1927 and the 1947 flight of Howard Hughes'
gigantic "Spruce Goose" flying boat. It was a very
exciting and productive period in the history of aviation when individuals
like Charles Lindbergh, Howard Hughes, Jimmy Dolittle and Juan Trippe
transformed aviation from a thrill show and barnstorming carnival to a
dependable and sometimes elegant mode of transportation.
Our company is dedicated to preserving the accomplishments and the memory of
all the men and women who put their hearts and souls into building aviation
into the great industry we enjoy today.
